“A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.”

Ever feel frustrated that no matter how much you try to express/explain Christ’s love and your faith, there are those who will twist your words and lash back with rebuttals that clearly show they haven’t spent time understanding the references they are using to argue back to you? We as humans can fall prey to mixing opinion with truth and there are some who overtake truth with their opinions.
We cannot change the hearts and spiritual minds of a person. It is only the Holy Spirit who works in the hearts of man, that anyone can ever come to a proper understanding of God’s love for us. People reject Christ because they do not know God nor wish to know Him. Do not expect them to love or like you especially because you are His child. Instead, expect to be hated, mistreated, badmouthed, rejected.
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
(John 15:18-19 ESV)
Take heart in knowing that you are not alone as Christ has suffered this and more so when people reject Him. But do not be discouraged from sharing your faith and the love of Christ because that is what he has appointed us to do in our short earthly ministry.
