This comic was started in 2004 as a stress release for the artist during her jobs as a CSR (customer service representative aka cashier) and MOD (manager on duty). Started at a whim, also at the request of her visitors who wished for her to create a comic, Rice Cafe was born. The name drives from the shop displayed in the comic called Rice Cafe. It is also a mixture of the oriental influence of the drawing style and the subject matter of customer service. We hope you enjoy the silly antics no matter how spuratic it is...
